Name: Rick O'Connell
Type: Adventurer, hero and gun-fighter
Info: It was while he was in the Foreign Legion that Rick first traveled to the City of the Dead. After Evelyn Carnahan saved him from being hanged, he agreed to lead her and her brother Jonathan back to Hamunaptra. Unfortunately, rather than finding the hoped-for treasure, they managed to resurrect the mummy Imhotep, who brought the plagues back to Egypt. Despite his misgivings, Rick played the part of the hero and rescued Evy before she could be sacrificed, killing Imhotep in the process. Somewhere along the way, Rick's solo mentality gave in, and he fell in love. He and Evy were married, and had a son named Alex. When Imhotep was once again brought to life, Rick had to save his son from him, killing the Scorpion King as well. It was revealed on this adventure that he was a reincarnated Medjai, Pharaoh's bodyguard and warrior for God. However, he prefers to think of himself as just a regular, mummy-slayin' guy.
Name: Evelyn O'Connell
Nickname: Evy
Type: Librarian and brain
Info: Evy was just your average expert on ancient Egypt until the above-mentioned happened. It was she who accidently brought Imhotep to life by reading from the Book of the Dead, and who was chosen as his sacrifice for the resurrection his love, Anck-su-namun. She was to learn that she was the reincarnated daughter of Pharaoh Seti the First, a princess of ancient Egypt. When on a mission to stop the Scorpion King and save her son about ten years later, she was murdered by the reincarnated form of Anck-su-namun. Luckily, since she had taught Alex ancient Egyptian (and Jonathan knew some as well), they were able to resurrect her. She later got her chance to pay Rick back by saving him from falling to the underworld. Somehow, after all their encounters with mummies and even after dying once, she still maintains a firm interest in ancient Egypt.
Name: Jonathan Carnahan
Type: Gambler, reveler and treasure-hunter
Info: Jonathan's participation in all of the above was limited to stealing, shooting, and running. He loves pretty much anything gold and shiny, and has few qualms about how he comes by it. Unfortunately he lost all his fortune that he gained from the diamond of Ahm Shere in ways he'd rather not have recounted. He is good with firearms, and is loyal to his family and friends. He simply doesn't take the front lines, especially against mummies. His favorite pastimes include arguing with Alex, finding treasure, arguing with Alex, bragging about his treasure to women, arguing with Alex, drinking, gambling, and arguing with Alex.
Name: Alex O'Connell
Age: 12
Type: Boy genius, mischievious smarty pants, and mage of the ancient Egyptian ways-in-training
Info: Alex's curiousity and sharp tongue often get him into trouble, as evidenced by his putting on the Bracelet of Anubis and almost being killed several times by Lock-Nah. Luckily, due to his amazing gift for building sandcastles, and his parents knack for beating mummies, he got out of that adventure alive. He even resurrected his mother after she had been killed by Anck-su-namun, using the Book of the Dead (with a bit of help from Uncle Jon). Now twelve years old, he displays the best qualities of his three closest family members -- his father's bravery, his mother's brains, and his uncle's sense of humor. He has recently been learning the magic of ancient Egypt, much to Rick's apprehension, Evy's delight, and Jonathan's all-out panic. He thinks he can handle this old power, and perhaps he is right to try...
Name: Ardeth Bay
Type: Warrior and teller of prophecies
Info: Ardeth is friend to the O'Connell's, their guide to finding their destiny. As a Medjai, he is sworn to fight Imhotep's evil. He is often exasperated with the O'Connells, mainly because they are often the cause of his problems, but also because they sometimes fight against fate. He believes that the O'Connell's may be the key stopping Imhotep in his present bid for power. If he is correct, then the prophecy of the Medjai leaders and their sage-like child is about to be fulfilled...
Name: Imhotep
Type: Evil, power-hungry, and cursed
Info: For his forbidden love of Anck-su-namun, Imhotep was cursed and resurrected twice. He fell into the underworld when she chose to abandon him rather than try to save his life. Now, resurrected for a third time, he is out for himself -- he wishes to rule the world ruthlessly with his undead warriors, whom he gained control of using the power of the Spear of Osiris. He also must find the Book of the Dead, so that he can return his immortal soul to his body, which Evy banished from it years ago using the Book of Amun Ra.
Name: Anck-su-namun
Type: Princess-like and weak-willed
Info: She loved Imhotep enough to risk death for him once -- but for some reason, not for a second time. After her second death, it seemed she would rest eternally -- Imhotep does not forgive easily. However, now he needs her, for she may know the location of the Book of the Dead. If things go as planned, she will live again...
Name: Nefertiri
Alias: Nerys
Age: 20
Type: Princess, scholar, run-away
Info: Evy was this Egyptian princess in a past life. Although she loved her father, the Pharoah, her fiery spirit and fighting abilities made her feel out of place within palace walls. She has been sneaking out for short periods of time since she was very young, which is when she met Gareth, who is almost like an older brother to her. Years later, her life and destiny would be changed when she met a young mercenary named Elias...
Name: Elias
Age: 24
Type: Mercenary, swordsman, dashing rescuer
Info: Rick was this mercenary turned Medjai warrior in a past life. Orphaned as a baby by war in Cairo, he learned early on how to take care of himself. His ability to take care of others, as well, first emerged when he saved the life of a beautiful young woman he knew as Nerys. Fate, combined with his skills as a swordsman, would draw him towards a life dedicated to his God and his princess...
Name: Gareth
Age: 28
Type: Thief, good-natured companion
Info: Jonathan was this thief from Cairo in a past life. When a warring faction invaded his hometown as boy, Gareth grasped at the only career choice in such desperate times that he was skilled at -- pillaging. Shortly afterward he met a younger girl who had run away, and with a little coaxing she admitted that she was the princess Nefertiri. He showed her around the city and helped her to escape several more times as she was growing up. He began to call her Nerys to keep her identity hidden in public places. With the appearance of Elias, he would become much more involved with the fate of Egypt.
Name: Thomas Fenwick
Type: Sniveling, cowardly servant
Info: Mr. Fenwick was picking an old woman's pocket in the streets of Cairo when he met Imhotep. The newly regenerated mummy promised the strange, cloaked American a great reward (his life) if he helped him in his takeover. He also mentioned, as an afterthought, that if treasure was found along the way, Fenwick could have a small percentage of it. Which was, of course, what enticed him to join The Mummy Lovers of America Club. Or maybe just to help him in his search for the Book of the Dead. Yeah, that's it.
Name: William Jamison
Type: Mysterious, ambitious, and ladies' man
Info: As a child, William was fascinated by tales of ancient Egyptian magic. After studying all his life to be an Egyptologist in his homeland of England, the young man heard rumors of a mummy rising again. Through furthur investigation, he found that his childhood fantasies had come true -- if he could find this undead high priest, he could learn the ancient magic that would give him unlimited power. To what end he would use this is yet to be seen...
